Grief Recovery Support Group

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos features top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. Small group discussion time includes the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own.

GriefShare is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics.

GriefShare is 13 weeks long and will cycle periodically. You may attend any or all classes. There is no special sequence, each class is self contained.

For more information, or to sign up, contact Sheila in the church office at 916-681-2551.

Workbook: $20

Facilitators: Jeanne Hodge and Bill Rohlfing

Had an awesome night at griefshare. Some issues came up I thought I had already worked through. I was wrong it was brought to light again. Thank God for griefshare and the friendships I have made that help get me through tough days like today.
